Meet Jeremiah Meet your McKinney City Council District 3 Candidate Jeremiah Hammer.

My name is Jeremiah Hammer and I am seeking your vote for McKinney City Council District 3. I have been a resident of McKinney for 7 years now. I spent the majority of my childhood and early adult life moving around a lot.  It wasn’t until I bought my first home here in McKinney that I really felt like a part of a community. Since arriving here something has pulled me to try and make a positive difference in our great city.

My early corporate career started in call center management and operations before being recruited by Yahoo! and entering into enterprise software. As my career progressed I transitioned into human capital management, building a direct hire practice for a boutique staffing firm, after which I provided strategic consulting services to CIOs. When I moved to McKinney in 2010 I founded Sustainable Ventures, a company which I continue to operate today.  Sustainable Ventures helps businesses identify, measure and leverage data, in order to gain a competitive advantage and operate more efficiently.

Why am I running for McKinney City Council?

Because I believe I have the attributes, background, and dedication needed to address the issues currently facing our city. The citizens of McKinney deserve a representative that they can trust to make the right decisions.  I have the vision and passion for navigating us into the future. The people of McKinney deserve a City Councilperson who has a track record of involvement and success in all aspects of our city’s growth.  Most importantly, we deserve someone who will listen and represent the people’s needs and desires as McKinney continues to evolve. I believe I am that person.  My civic experience, business experience, and personal experience have fully prepared me for this role. Professionally, I have saved companies over $1Bn in efficiency improvement and waste reduction. As a homeowner in McKinney’s historic district, I am working hard to maintain an old home while also dealing with skyrocketing property taxes.  Civically I have 7 successful years working with and guiding others to address the toughest challenges life throws at us.  Serving in my community isn’t something I just talk about, it’s something I have lived every single day since moving to our great city, and what I look forward to continuing as your next councilman.
